Lower- and middle-income New Mexicans would have an easier time getting loans to build new homes or rehabilitate existing dwellings under a bill introduced Wednesday.

Senate Bill 115, sponsored by Sen. Nancy Rodriguez, D-Santa Fe, would establish a New Mexico Housing Trust, administered by the state Mortgage Finance Authority.
