Summary
Christina Miller and a friend who was carrying an 8-month-old baby on her back were hiking one day in December 1988 when they took a wrong turn on a cliff overlooking Santa Cruz Lake and ended up stranded on a ledge. The temperature dropped, the baby began turning blue in the cold, and both women feared the worst -- before a lone fisherman on the other side of the lake realized they were in trouble and ran to gather a rescue party.
