College 101: Working for Your Social Life

Summary


Almost one month ago, some friends and I started a show as radio DJs on Occidental College's KOXY-FM 104.7. Monday at 1 a.m. is not what I consider a prime-time slot. But when it's just you and a couple of friends chatting about your day, playing music intermittently and interviewing your guest, it doesn't really matter who's listening.

There really is no premise to our show besides making fools of ourselves, telling some corny jokes and giving bad advice to callers. Occasionally we discuss politics, criticize our government or philosophize about God. More often than not we just discuss our luck (or lack thereof) with college girls, excluding those of us who have girlfriends.
