Davi Moya knows the upside and downside of baseball. He played on the 2005 Pojoaque High state championship team. Before that he played on a Santa Fe High team that won just five games in two years.

In the state baseball championship game against Raton, Moya, who transferred to Pojoaque from Santa Fe High as a senior, relieved Thomas Romero with two down in the fifth and shut out the Tigers in the final 213 innings as the Elks sailed to a 10-1 victory.
