The best of us sometimes fall through holes in the social net. That's when we most need -not a handout - but a leg up.
For three-and-a-half years now, Santa Fe's Faith At Work outreach program has increasingly professionalized a long-standing parish tradition of community service by providing crisis assistance to over 1,000 single mothers, families, seniors and people with disabilities. Last year alone, the Episcopal Church of the Holy Faith, which sponsors the program, raised and donated $43,000 to neighbors in need.
