Summary


On July 21, teenage Palestinian and Israeli girls alike walked onto the stage of the Sweeney Convention Center, and one by one, these 14 girls presented their lives as residents of a country with two warring nations. The large, eager audience listened attentively as they were pulled into the tales of these brave girls.

Two weeks before the opening night, all 14 arrived from various parts of Israel and Palestine at the Creativity for Peace Camp in Valencia. Throughout their lives, the Palestinian and Israeli girls have been separated by ethnic clefts and government propaganda. Upon arrival in Valencia, the girls participated in the signature characteristic of the camp: a "compassionate dialogue."
