I had such fun hearing from friends and readers who took my high- altitude quiz last month.

Katharine Kagel, chef and proprietor of Cafe Pasqual's, boasted a skillful score of 17 out of 20. Her general manager, David Coulson, who also has cooked at the popular restaurant, took a more scientific approach to the quiz. He scored an equally high rating, but challenged my trick questions with pragmatic zeal.
