Georgia O'Keeffe's Canna Red and Orange sold at auction Wednesday in New York for more than $1.4 million.
The 1926 oil-on-canvas was deaccessioned by the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum to benefit its acquisitions fund. The museum said it was pleased with the price.
