It took two days in April for Michael Vigil and the other re- enactors, in late-17th and early-18th century soldiers' uniforms, to march from Bernalillo to Old Town Albuquerque, following the route of Spanish colonial settlers.

Along the way the men experienced things that would have been familiar to their predecessors.
