Summary


The flip side of these bountiful, God-sent rains is the abundance of weeds we now face.

From the brown-bare parks of last year's dry summer, we see deceptive green from far away and pockets of weeds up close. Our medians and public trails are overrun. And it's not just city- managed lands, either. Weeds wave in the wind on too many of our public school grounds. Folks at churches, businesses and homes all are fighting back, some much less successfully than others.
