Santa Fe has no business in CSF property deal
I am sympathetic to the plight of the students and staff at the College of Santa Fe. Having said that, I am opposed to the proposal by Mayor David Coss and some city councilors to float revenue bonds to acquire the CSF property. I become very suspicious when politicians tell the taxpayer that a plan will not cost us any money. Both state and private institutions have turned down the opportunity. I have my doubts that the city can manage a lease of the CSF property to assure the taxpayers will not get stuck with the bill. Rest assured those bonds will be paid, and that the taxpayer will pay what the leases will not cover. This is an endeavor I firmly believe that the city of Santa Fe has absolutely no business considering.See the full content of this document
