Movie Review: 'Narnia' Captures Some of Book's Magic

I was very concerned when I saw the movie trailer that listed as a coming attraction The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I was especially worried because they had chosen the first book of the series (The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis was the first of several books, hence the chronicles part), and this was not only my favorite of the series, but one of my favorite childhood books.

There are so many ways in which it could be ruined. I got to the theater as soon after the movie's release date as I could to assess the damage. Here are my conclusions:
