For nearly four years, New Mexico has been blessed with a strong, larger-than-life governor; a high-energy, highly intelligent, hands- on executive loaded with lawmaking background and diplomatic expertise -- at grass-roots, action-adventure and ambassadorial levels.

How much longer will we have Bill Richardson as our state's long- needed leader? His re-election opponent, the dashing John Dendahl, has dedicated way too much time and energy arguing that the governor has his eye on the 2008 presidential campaign; that New Mexico simply is serving as a steppingstone for the ambitious Richardson.
