Program Is Encouraging Caregivers to Share Load

Summary


The work of a caregiver is an extraordinary gift -- but too overwhelming for one person, says Janet Schreiber, a grief and loss instructor at Southwestern College and founder of the Caring Can Be Shared program.

Schreiber and student interns from the college are helping caregivers set up groups of family and friends to support them. The program is modeled on one described in Share The Care, a book by Cappy Capossela and Sheila Warnock.
