CONRON & WOODS ARCHITECTS is collaborating with Dagit Saylor, Philadelphia, and NCA Architects, Albuquerque, on the $35 million, New Mexico History Museum. The 96,000-square-foot structure will be built on three levels, one underground and two above ground. The first design was for a larger building and included a $500,000 translucent onyx wall. George Langdon, project manager with Conron & Woods, said the design now is "in keeping with the historic- styles guidelines." He described the important Lincoln Avenue facade as "basically a solid wall with punched openings for the windows, and we have an arcade."
