There is a lot of crime on the information super-highway. As in the real world some of it is aimed at kids and just as in the real world, parents want to do what they can to keep their children safe.

There are already many different ways to communicate on the Internet, and more are always just around the corner. From instant messaging to e-mail, there are any number of ways that your child could be exposed to risk. So just to start I'll concentrate on the main three Internet uses: The Web, chat and instant messaging.
