Zozobra is a truly unique Santa Fe experience -- even the process of making Old Man Gloom is unique, following in the footsteps of his creator, the late Will Shuster who started it 81 years ago. Members of Key Clubs from Santa Fe High School, Santa Fe Indian School and La Cueva High School, as well as students from the School for the Deaf all help to construct the beast. Standing nearly 50 feet tall and weighing around 1,600 pounds, Zozobra is constructed from a combination of wood, chicken wire, muslin sheets and lots of shredded paper.See the full content of this document
