Summary


Lawmaking logic, or what passes for it, is a wonderful thing -- and with the 48th New Mexico Legislature's long session past the halfway point, we've already seen two outstanding examples of senatorial rationalizing of bad votes.

The first came from Phil Griego, the Santa Fean who claims San Jose as his home -- or is it the other way around? Anyway, our city councilor-turned-senator said, in supporting his vote to keep cockfighting legal, that the, uh, sport will continue even if it's banned.
