Teens, to our mind, tend to get a bad rap: When one or a few of 'em do something wrong, or if the big folks so much as think they might mess up, the well-behaved vast majority pay the price, largely in lost opportunities.
In New Mexico, a sufficient number of imbecilic legislators suspected that, as grocery checkers, teens would let their friends buy evil alcohol -- so they passed a law saying you've got to be an adult to ring up someone's beer, wine or liquor purchase.
